Lok Foundation

Lok Foundation is a not-for-profit registered public charity which provides financing for the delivery of capacity building services to those MFIs that have received, or are likely to receive an equity investment from Lok Capital LLC. Its has non-exclusive service contracts with several local as well as international Technical Assistance (TA) service providers. The Foundation is based in the US, and operates under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986.

The Foundation is organized to:
	Act as a catalyst for directing private equity capital to MFIs in India

	Provide financing for delivery of long-term management and technical support to these MFIs

	Act as a platform for disseminating knowledge and encouraging debate on innovative ways of empowering the poor, especially poor women and the rural poor
