Lok Capital LLC, the Lok microfinance investment vehicle or fund is a limited life limited liability company based in Mauritius, created with the objective of providing equity and equity-linked investments to microfinance institutions in India.

Fund size: US$22 million committed capital

Fund term: 10 years from 2006

Investors: ACCION International,CDC, Developpement International Desjardins, FMO, IFC, KfW, responsability

Fund Advisor:Lok Advisory Services Pvt Ltd (LAS)

Average Investment Size: $0.5 Million to $3 Million

  
 

The Fund is advised by Lok Advisory Services (LAS), a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Foundation. LAS’s function is to provide venture services to the Fund. Its role is to:
Identify potential investments
Conduct due diligence on potential investee MFIs
Help execute transactions on behalf of the Fund, once the investment decision has been made by the Investment Committee
Supervise & monitor investments that have been made
Assist with exit strategies to liquidate investments
