Ganesh brings proven global experience in Investing, Entrepreneurship and General Management focused on strong social impact and business justification across several sectors including Microfinance, Financial Services, Education, Technology, and Digital services.
Ganesh joined Lok Capital, a leading venture capital fund investing in base of pyramid opportunities, in 2010. In his last role, Ganesh was India and SE Asia Country Director for Unitus Inc., heading the organization´s Asia initiatives and team of consultants, advising Unitus partners and serving on the global senior management team.
Before joining Unitus, Ganesh was co-founder of Travelguru (now a Travelocity company), the leading online travel company for hotels and vacations in India and South Asia.
After Travelguru, Ganesh helped launched India investments for Greylock Partners - one of the oldest top-tier venture capital firm´s in the US - and focused on early and growth stage investments, and built the firm´s brand and investment platform in India. Before Greylock, he worked at Infosys Technologies managing mission-critical engagements for Fortune 500 clients and leading $100 million (USD) customer acquisition programs. Before Infosys, he managed a private investment fund.
Ganesh holds a Bachelor´s degree in engineering from IT-BHU/IIT Varanasi, a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School, and a graduate degree in finance and systems strategy from IIM-Kolkata.
