About BASIX:

BASIX seeks to promote a large number of sustainable livelihoods for poor rural women, through the provision of financial services and technical assistance, in an integrated manner. BASIX works with economically active poor households, engaged in agriculture, livestock rearing, household manufacturing or services activities. They provide credit, technical assistance and support services such as input supply or market linkages, where needed. BASIX is founded by Vijay Mahajan, well-known in the development space as a visionary and a pioneer in the Indian Microfinance industry.
